THUMB
Of all
the aspects of hand the thumb plays the most important role in life. In our
daily life, without hand there is no life and without thumb there is no hand. So
in daily life this is important and in palmistry thumb has the same role as in
daily life. Besides will and logic the
palmist can read much more personality, temprament and character from thumb.
The ideal
thumb is which is long, open, flexible and not rigid, having almost equal
phalanges, quite thick, rounded and slim at the bottom. Such thumb reflects the
person having firm will, strong logic and adjustable in life. This can be said
one of the best thumb.
The thumb
has to phalanges. First phalange is of will and the second is of logic. If the
first one is longer that the second then the person is having strong will power
and if the second phalange is longer than first then it reflects the logic or reasoning.
Best one is when the both phalanges are equal.
The ideal
length of thumb is which crosses the half of third phalange of index finger. If
it is not up to that point then this is called a short thumb.
The angle
forms between index finger and the thumb is called “The angle of Generosity”. The
wider the angle the better it is and the person is generous towards society. A stiff
thumb reflects that the person is rigid, conservative and difficult to open in
life. He will always stick to his guns.
The mobility
of thumb also reflects the personality. The more flexible and bending thumb
shows that the person in very flexible and adjustable in life. He will take
everyone with him in life. One don’t have to push him.
The thumb
which makes the shape of bow (while bending backward) means that the person is
flexible and easily adjustable in life. The person is easy going, don’t stick
to his decisions or can’t make big and important decisions in life. He is
always follow others decisions.
A short
thumb means the person is a follower and not a leader. He can’t impose his
decisions on others. Such persons are very successful in love matters.
These
are some of the characteristics of thumb. Whenever one goes thru the lines of
hand and speaks something, one must and should also read the thumb very
carefully.
