Northeast corner or direction in Vastu and Feng Shui is very auspicious. It is a source of most powerful, progressive and positive energy to the entire building which ensures health, happiness, progress and prosperity to the living being. This corner is called Ishan in Vastushastra. Ishan means abode of Lord Shiva. Thus this is very auspicious, important and sacred corner.
