Whenever one acquire a new thing it is subject to various energies and some evil forces. To safeguard and precautionary measures, some religious rituals to be performed so that one can have a peaceful and prosperous living there.

Grahaparvesh is basically to seek the blessings of the Almighty God while entering the new house. This is to protect the house and the persons living in it from evils and the negative energy. In fact this puja is very important in Hindus to please the different gods and vastupursh.

First of all Ganesh puja is performed, then navgraha (nine planets) and then vastupursh puja is done. There are different ways, according to their religions to reap the maximum benefits.

Some important things which must be kept in mind while going for grahparvesh puja.

One must avoid this puja if the woman of the house is pregnant.

The clay idol of Lord Ganesh should be stuck outside entrance of the house. This will guard the house from entering negative energy.

The idol of Goddess Lakshmi should be taken inside and kept in puja place.

A suitable dakshina (donation) must be given to pandit who has performed this puja.    

This will protect the house and people in it and make their life happy and prosperous.
